I have not been very good at blogging lately. I have been busy on Sundays, which is usually when I update this, with genealogy. I have been researching my ancestors and pulling census records to find information. It is fascinating! I also have been indexing, which if you don't know (Don't worry I just found out about it) is looking at census, birth, death, and so on records to type in the information so people can find their family. I haven't done as much as I would like, but it is so interesting. I feel such a connection to those that came before me. Finding out where they lived, what they did for a living, and who their children were. I wish I had journals and letters to read. I'm sure I could learn so much more from them reading about their thoughts and struggles.
I wish I could afford ancestry.com which I have already done a free trial. But it is so expensive and things are tight right now. Maybe soon. While I am waiting for the funds to do that, I will just have to index and hope that my contribution will help those searching for their families.
