Love...

Day 8: Make a special meal that he would like. Make it as relaxing as possible. Do not grumble about your day or that dishes must be done after dinner. Instead engage in an uplifting conversation.

Day 9: Give him the night off from helping with the kids. Take the opportunity to let him catch up on some reading or take a nap. Let him know that you want him to just relax and that it is important to you. Do not make him think you are annoyed by having to watch the kids longer.

Day eight was really hard because we grocery shopped until 9 and the kids weren't down until almost ten. So the next morning I made waffles.

Day 9 was yesterday and I did watch the kids for him so he could go somewhere. I was not as good about it later in the evening. It is nice to have help. I really need to monitor how much I ask him to hold and watch the kids though. I don't want him to be overwhelmed. If I worked a job all day and came home it would be hard to have the kids to watch all the time. Most of the time though when I leave I can't wait to see the kids. Usually I think that is the way Christian is.
