I have worried several hundred times in my children's lives that I am setting a bad example for them. I want them to have good memories of me and life in our home. There are always going to be things you disagree with your parents on how to raise children, however I want the general feeling to be that they felt loved and cared for. I also want them to remember me as a good example.
I know when it comes to Christian our kids will always have a wonderful example of a good man that tries each day to better himself. His gentle way of expressing himself leaves everyone feeling uplifted and happier. I have no doubt our kids will be fond of their father always.
I hope that is the case with me. I know everyone has weaknesses and need to work on them. I only hope that I can overcome them one at a time. That my children will feel that I am trying.
Each of my children have set a sweet example for me. While they were so little (only about a year old) each of them has learned without being prompted to fold their arms during prayers. I know this is by watching us pray and it makes me happy they are noticing the good things.
I pray that when my kids look back on their childhood that it is filled with good memories and a general sweet feeling.
